I have seen a frame I like, what should I do next?

If you have found a frame you love, you can either purchase the frame alone, add your prescription lenses or if you wish, by going through our many lens options available. You could also let us know and we can arrange for you to try the frame on in practice before making your final decision.

Can I try a frame before deciding?

Yes, you are more than welcome to contact us if you have seen a frame you like but would prefer to try on first. We will arrange a time suitable for you to pop by  to do this, just contact us and we will be happy to give our advice.

How do I order spectacles with my prescription?

If you wish to add your lenses, we will need an up to date prescription before your order is processed. At this moment, we are only offering single vision lenses with frames bought on our website. However, if you have seen a frame you like, please do not hesitate to contact us where we will then advise on different lens types.

We will ask a few simple questions about which type of lenses you would like to go for and once you have made your decisions, you simply add everything to the basket.

I don't usually get my eyes tested with Aarons

That is fine! However, before your order can be processed, we will need an up to date prescription signed by the practitioner. Without this, we will not be able to continue with your order.

I'm a patient of yours, will you have a record of my prescription?

Yes, if you are a patient of ours, we will have your prescription on record. You can select this option when processing your order on our website.

Why can I only select single vision lenses?

At this moment in time, we are only offering single vision lenses on our webstore. This is due to the complex nature and skill needed when dispensing multi-focal lenses. If you have seen a frame which you would like your varifocal or bifocal lenses added to, please do not hesitate to contact us where we will be more than happy to assist.

Why can I not order my prescription in single vision?

We want to ensure that your spectacles are made to the highest standards. With higher prescriptions there are a number of details which makes this more difficult as a remote sale. Thus, we limit the range of prescriptions we feel as safe to dispense over the internet.

How do I find out my PD?

You can ask where you last had your eye exam for your PD [pupil distance] measurement as they will have measured and noted on your records.

However, if you’d prefer not to ask then you can measure using a number of smart phone apps. We recommend: ‘EyeMeasure’ [for Apple iPhone] or ‘GlassesOn’ [for Samsung/ Android Users].

Do you do spectacles for children?

We have a large range of frames available for children in practice including Ray-Ban, Guess & many character frames but due to the many considerations needed when helping children find their perfect frame, it is important they are seen by someone trained to do this. Therefore we do not offer this service online.

Children under the age of 16 must be dispensed by a GOC registrant (Optometrist or Dispensing Optician) as a legal requirement to safeguard children.

Is Aarons an authorised dealer?

Yes. We are supplied directly by the manufacturer with all the brands included on this website where all products are 100% authentic. We do not purchase any products through a third party.

What is my warranty?

All frames and lenses are covered by a one year manufacturing guarantee. This does not cover any faults or issues caused by wear and tear.

How do I cancel or amend my order?

The quickest way for an order to be amended or cancelled will be to contact us directly on 01670 813185 where we will try to assist you with any issues you may have.

How long will delivery take?

We aim to have all orders completed within 5 working days and dispatched shortly afterwards. All orders will be posted via Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded.

Can I track my order?

All orders will be posted via Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded. Once your order has been dispatched, we will contact you with your tracking number.

Can I return my glasses?
